This ‘practice as research’ output comprises a musical work commissioned by Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery for corporate video purposes. The composition includes ‘found sound’ recordings used in the piece to investigate the timbral dimension of music as a tool to convey meaning. Timbral extension is achieved by the manipulation of sonic texture.
