Reports
on the utilization of preserved foods in animals must be applied to broad taxa
for understanding their ecology. However, the current state is biased towards
specific taxa (mammals and birds), and the utilization of preserved foods in
reptiles has never been reported. The discovery of the utilization of naturally
preserved foods in reptiles provides a unique system of feeding ecology that
researchers have not previously envisioned. We
found a snake feeding on sea turtle eggs that have been preserved by changing
like pidan.
