A) HCLE monolayer cell cultures plated in triplicate were either left unstressed or stressed with 3 mM tBHP. After 2 hours, cultures were stained with fluorescein or rose bengal and imaged under epifluorescent illumination (fluorescein) or white light (rose bengal). Representative images are shown from each set.B) HCLE monolayer cultures plated in triplicate were either left unstressed or stressed with 3 mM tBHP. After 2 hours, the ANXA5 binding assay or the TUNEL assay was performed to evaluate apoptosis. Representative images are shown from each set.C) HCLE stratified cell cultures plated in triplicate were either left unstressed or stressed with 3 mM tBHP. After 2 hours, cultures were stained with fluorescein or rose bengal and imaged under epifluorescent illumination (fluorescein) or white light (rose bengal). Representative images from each set are shown from each set.
