The evolution of Open Radio Access Networks (O-RAN) opens unprecedented opportunities for flexible, intelligent, and cost-efficient wireless systems. This poster presents the design and implementation of a cloud-based testbed that integrates Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces cloud-based testbed that integrates Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RIS) into an O-RAN-compliant environment. The proposed platform enables remote, software-defined control and experimentation with RIS-enhanced beamforming and channel manipulation in real-time scenarios. Key components include a modular O-RAN architecture deployed on a cloudnative infrastructure, virtualized RAN functions (vRAN), and programmable RIS panels interfaced through standardized control protocols. The system supports dynamic adaptation of RIS parameters via AI-driven algorithms running on the edge cloud, demonstrating the impact of RIS on metrics such as coverage, energy efficiency, and signal quality. The testbed is designed for researchers and developers to validate novel RIS-assisted RAN strategies, evaluate interoperability with O-RAN components, and accelerate the development of intelligent wireless technologies. Initial experiments confirm enhanced signal steering, reduced interference, and potential for improved spectral efficiency.
