M3F3 activated microglia under lens

Brain slice stained with anti-Iba1 (microglia) and DAPI (nuclei). Image J was used to define regions of interest that are drawn as an overlay on the images. These include the area that is imaged (125 microns from the end of the lens and beyond), the area under the lens that is not imaged. Activated microglia are identified in each image with a yellow oval.
