Results of the HMMSCAN analysis of HMMER that searches the inserted protein sequence against the profile-HMM database. The inserted protein sequence was a CDS sequence of a chosen primate, P. Troglodytes. HMMSCAN analysis annotated the domains found in the CD4 receptor of P. troglodytes. The left image displays five annotated domains with the D1 domain highlighted in green and outlined in red. The D1 domain is an immunoglobulin domain, thus the annotation of "ig". D1 domain spans from codon 25-122, as shown in the red box on the right image. The Domain E-values (expectation values) next to this red box are the number of matches or greater are to occur by random chance. The threshold for significance is 0.01.

This data is used to determine if sites of diversifying or positive selection take place in the D1 domain of the CD4 receptor.
