SHANEL and advanced CUBIC achieved, respectively, optimal imaging of splenic neural and immune architecture, and both enabled the first identification of nociceptive sensory innervation in human spleen tissue. Additionally, these two methods also achieved satisfactory imaging results in other tissues, such as the heart, kidney, liver, lymph nodes and spinal cord.
