The black soldier fly, Hermetia illucens, larvae are increasingly acknowledged for their efficacy in organic waste management and biomass production. In cities like Antananarivo, Madagascar, where organic waste presents a significant challenge, identifying the most effective substrates for larval rearing is essential. This study evaluated the productivity of black soldier fly larvae using three distinct food substrates: cow manure, kitchen waste, and a blend of fish powder with vegetables.
