Future skills workshop
The Future Skills Workshop, is designed to equip students with essential competencies and skills for long-term personal and professional success.
Drawing from extensive industry and academic experience, the authors developed a framework of seven categories of future skills aimed at fostering not only employability but also holistic growth, i.e., self-awareness and self-management, emotional intelligence, communication skills, cognitive skills, professional skills, technological literacy and skills, purpose-led and global citizenship.
The workshop encourages students to adopt a lifelong learning mindset and supports the development of both skills and character, empowering them to become well-rounded individuals beyond their chosen specialisms.
By promoting awareness and practice of these future-focused competencies, the workshop aspires to have a lasting impact on students' adaptability, resilience, and overall readiness for the challenges of an evolving professional landscape.
