A mapping population consisting of 186 recombinant inbred lines (RILs) was constructed by crossing maize inbred lines LDC-1 and YS501. Using the GeneChip Mapping 10K array, a high-density linkage map was constructed with 2,624 bin markers. The map spanned 2569.89 cM, and the average genetic distance between two markers was 0.98 cM.
