The dataset is used to carry out the estimations in the paper "Regional interdependence and the role of culture for economic development in Europe: history matters, but geography does too". In this paper we re-asses the role of history, mediated by different cultural endowments in European regions, by ingluding spillover effects, emanating from geographic location of those regions.
