Desertification is a critical global environmental issue, causing severe damage to land resources, ecosystem productivity, and functions. Topsoil transfer and soil improvement measures are widely regarded as effective method of vegetation restoration. However, limited research has simultaneously examined the combined effects of these two approaches on vegetation restoration in sandy lands, particularly in semi-fixed and mobile sand dunes.
