The apple dataset comprised 220 spectral samples and corresponding soluble solid content (SSC) measurements. The spectral data were measured using the Ocean Optics QE Pro high-sensitivity fiber-optic spectrometer, with a wavelength measurement range of 185–1100 nm (the range of 380–1100 nm was selected). SSC measurements were obtained using a PAL-HIKARi apple non-destructive saccharimeter with a measurement accuracy of ±1% Brix.
