<b>Climate-driven transition in microbial deterioration and protection of stone </b><b>surfaces at cultural </b><b>heritage </b><b>sites</b>

<p dir="ltr">Using genomic data from stone heritage sites in East and South Asia, we identified a dynamic shift in biofilm effects in cultural heritage sites from deterioration to protection according to the temperate-to-tropical climate transition.</p>
