ML section AMS14C age and proxy record data set
ML section (100.84°E, 38.29°N) is located in Minle County, Zhangye, Gansu Province, northwest China, with the altitude of 2673 m and a depth of 8 m. The upper 1.0 m of the ML section is mainly composed of light yellow silty clay, and the middle part (1.0–2.5 m) is yellow-white siltstone. The lower part (2.5-8.0 m) is brownish-yellow silty clay containing loess-like silt and delicate sand layers. ML was sampled at 3 cm in interval, and a total of 254 eolian sedimentary samples were obtained for analysis of proxies. AMS 14C dating is carried out on 20 samples. According to the age-depth model, the section covers the past 18,000 years, and the accumulation rate of loess increases sharply with the increase in depth. The particle size, magnetic susceptibility (MS), mineralogy, and geochemical indicators of 235 samples from the ML section were determined.
