The genus Goniogryllus represents a unique evolutionary lineage among crickets, characterized by the loss of stridulation due to the degeneration of wing organs. Genomic studies are essential for elucidating the genetic basis, adaptive evolution, and compensatory mechanisms following functional loss in this lineage. In this study, we constructed the first chromosome-level high-quality genome of Goniogryllus, providing a comprehensive analysis of its genomic structure, repetitive sequences, protein-coding genes, and functional annotations, these files are saved in the project.
