<p dir="ltr">Eucommia ulmoides (EUO) is a valuable tonic plant known for its various pharmacological effects. Biotic and abiotic factors in the environment have a significant impact on the quality of EUO by affecting its active content and effective composition, and the negative effects of these factors are not conducive to the high value-added utilization of EUO. In response to this problem, this study systematically investigated the EUO of three major production areas in Shaanxi Province, namely the Guanzhong Plain (Yangling District), the Loess Plateau (Suide County) and the Beifengfusha District (Yuyang District). The aim is to analyze their response to spatiotemporal dynamics in photosynthetic properties, secondary metabolites, and soil microorganisms.</p>
