The Multispecies City Lab was a workshop organized in Melbourne/Narrm in 2024 at the Faculty of Education at the University of Melbourne. This workshop invited people living in Melbourne to re-imagine the city as a place where humans and other-than-humans collaborate, a place where magpies, the Yarra River, gum trees, algae, or fungi thrive. What would this multispecies city look, smell, or sound like? The Multispecies City Lab challenged today's urban structures and encourages you to speculate on possibilities for urban living beyond the human.
