Predictions for the frequency of alleles of the voltage gated sodium channel gene (Vgsc) were produced by a spatio-temporal model that used allele frequency data from field populations and a large number of potential explanatory variables. Full details are given in the linked BMC Biology article.
File 1_Vgsc_allele_freq_dataset.csv contains the field population data that went into the model. The inclusion criteria for the subset of the data that went into the model are listed in the accompanying article.
is a zipped folder containing data grids (rasters)
for each mosquito species, country and year modelled. Each raster comprises two files; a GRD and GRI file.
The rasters are at a 2.5 arcminute (approx. 5 km) resolution. Each grid cell has a value for the predicted allele frequency on a scale of 0.0 to 1.0.
These raster data can be visualised and processed in a range of geographical information system packages (e.g. ArcGIS and QGIS) or spatial data packages in R (http://cran.r-project.org/web/views/Spatial.html).
