This research presents a socio-economic assessment of Urban and Peri-urban Agriculture (UPA) in Bogotá, Colombia. The study evaluates multiple dimensions of UPA—including environmental management, social interactions, economic contributions, and institutional engagement—to identify its strengths and limitations. Using a composite indicator framework and geospatial analysis, the research quantifies sustainability levels across different urban contexts and provides evidence-based recommendations to enhance UPA governance. The ultimate goal is to support the scalability of UPA initiatives and maximize their benefits for urban resilience, food security, and sustainable land use planning.
