Tools for Assessment of Vocational Interest in Indonesia: Scoping Review

This dataset is part of a scoping review conducted to identify and evaluate tools used for assessing vocational interests within the Indonesian context. The initial database contains a total of 2,238 articles published between 2014 and 2024. After a thorough screening process based on predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria, 17 articles were deemed relevant for the review.

Inclusion Criteria:

  1. Document Type: Only peer-reviewed articles (excluding book chapters, books, web content, or reports).
  2. Publication Date: Articles published between 2014 and 2024.
  3. Topic: Articles related to vocational interest.
  4. Approach: Articles that used a quantitative approach.
  5. Measurement Tools: Articles that employed instruments to measure vocational interest.
  6. Validity and Reliability: Articles that provided evidence of at least one form of validity or reliability.
  7. Population: Research that involved Indonesian subjects.
  8. Participants: Research focused on adult subjects.
  9. Journal Accreditation: Articles published in accredited journals.

Dataset Contents:

The dataset includes metadata on the 17 articles that met the inclusion criteria after the screening process. Details include: author names, publication year, journal name, article title, abstract, methodology used, instruments for vocational interest, and evidence of validity and reliability.

Usage:

This dataset is intended for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers interested in vocational psychology, psychometrics, and the application of vocational interest assessment tools in Indonesia. It can serve as a foundation for further research, development of assessment tools, or policy recommendations in vocational guidance and career counseling.
