This dataset provides, for 2,613 shallow-water fish species, their thermal affinities inferred from Aquamaps species distribution maps.

The dataset is provided in the species_thermal_affinities.csv file. The dataset documentation is provided in the species_thermal_affinities.txt file.

This dataset was produced to support Lavender, E., Fox, C. and Burrows, M. (in prep) Modelling the impacts of climate change on the abundance of shallow-water marine fish at a global scale.

However, an issue with the Aquamaps files used to derive thermal affinities was discovered and thermal affinities were re-derived using updated files. Therefore, these data should NOT be used. The files have been removed and only the metadata are provided.
