Legend:

This is a conflated version of all collected variables relating to Place/Goal/Source coding plus additional information. To display finer-grained distinctions, some categories are labelled according to their functions with capitalized English terms (such as FROM, ONTO, etc.). As in the main text, Marker refers to marking on the Ground argument by an adposition, nominal affix, particle or other language-specific bound forms, whereas affix refers to verbal morphology. (Degree of) attachment to the stem is not indicated for better comparability. Element order is only specified where necessary, so that ‘plus’ does not indicate preferred element order. Spatial Interrogative refers to a dedicated form occurring in locational or motion expressions (as opposed to a general interrogative). The numbers of speakers and contact languages are taken from the descriptions so that the speaker count stems from the time of description. In the case of Lower Grand Valley Dani, the number stems from the 1996 SIL count cited in Ethnologue (http://www.ethnologue.com/18/language/dni/), and for Japhug, Jacques (2021: 1) does not specify a number.
