This study investigates the relationship between domestic public health spending (DPHS) and health outcomes, measured by disability-adjusted life years (DALYs), across 43 SSA countries from 2013 to 2022. The Ahn and Schmidt (1995) Generalized Method of Moments estimator on panel data was applied to aggregated DPHS, targeted DPHS (on HIV/AIDS, Malaria and TB), global DALYs as well as DALYs related to HIV/AIDS, Malaria and TB.
