Road networks facilitate the Transportation of goods and people from one place to another. Disruptions to the road network can occur due to unexpected hazardous events within the road network that can cause delays. A road network is resilient if it can return to its original performance after disruptions. In this study, attempts have been conducted to assess the resilience of urban road networks in Tanzania. Mbeya city has been chosen as a case study. The resilience of road networks was assessed by simulating road networks with and without disruptions.
