Survey of controlling infestations of red imported fire ants in Brisbane and South East Queensland

The Red Imported Fire Ant is a highly invasive and destructive pest which originates from South America. It was first detected in Brisbane in February 2001, with infestations found around the port facilities at Fisherman Islands and in the south-western suburbs around Richlands.
