Student-Major Assignment Dataset for Preference Optimization and Capacity Constraints

Overview: This dataset is designed for the assignment of students to academic majors based on their preference while optimizing overall satisfaction. Each student has ranked six majors from most to least preferred.

Problem Statement: The primary challenge is to assign students in a way that minimizes dissatisfaction while adhering to the capacity constraints of each major. Each major can only accommodate a maximum of 84 students.

Data Structure: The dataset includes 500 students, each with a ranked list of six majors.
