This dataset was collected as part of an experimental study on secure authentication and performance evaluation in Wireless Body Area Networks (WBANs). The research aimed to develop and analyze an efficient PUF-based authentication protocol for WBAN communication in healthcare applications.

The experiments focused on:

  • Authentication Performance: Evaluating authentication success rates, response times, and energy consumption.
  • Computational Overhead: Measuring hash operations, PUF evaluations, and encryption costs for different authentication schemes.
  • Communication Overhead: Analyzing message transmission time and size between WBAN nodes, fog nodes, and cloud servers.
  • Security Analysis: Testing the system’s resistance to various attacks such as Replay, Impersonation, and MITM attacks and measuring detection time and false positive rates.
