Short Word Forms in Russian Literature: Genesis, Typology, and Functional Features
This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the phenomenon of short word forms in the Russian language. It explores the process of their formation, their historical genesis, influenced by both intralinguistic mechanisms (dialectal and rapid speech pronunciation, ending reduction) and extralinguistic factors (impact of limited information carriers, foreign borrowings, military-political communications). The paper presents a detailed typology of short forms by parts of speech (verbs, nouns, proper nouns, adverbs, pronouns, prepositions, conjunctions, adjectives, participles, introductory terms) and examines specific mechanisms of their formation, including abbreviations, vowel-less writing, stylized images, written abbreviations, and the use of titlo. The study aims to systematize and generalize knowledge about short word forms as an integral part of the Russian linguistic system and cultural heritage.
