Two service platforms of geographic data, NASA’s SEDAC and FAO-GeoNetwork, were used as the data resources in the case study. The two platforms utilize metadata to describe geographic data. A total of 211 datasets from SEDAC and 49 datasets from GeoNetwork were selected.
