High throughput resistance phenotyping of banana (Musa spp.) against Radopholus similis
This data was collected by phenotyping banana genotypes, commonly used as parents in the Matooke, Mchare and Plantain pipelines. This data was collected in batches due to the nature of the banana in tissue culture. Some of the genotypes are difficult to multiply hence, we phenotyped the genotypes as they became available and adopted the partially replicated designs.Within each batch, the genotypes were further organised into blocks. Genotypes were the fixed terms while batches and blocks were the random terms. At termination, nematodes were extracted from each individual plant and counted three times. The counts are indicated as C1, C2 and C3 in the file. We further calculated the average nematode count (Av. NC) as well as the nematode count in 25ml (NC in 25ml) and the reproductive factor (RF). Analysis was completed using the RF.
