Proteome database of Enterobacter sp. CC120223-11
Enterobacter sp. belongs to a genus of Gram-negative, non-spore forming, facultative anaerobic bacteria. This work reports the proteome database of Enterobacter sp. CC120223-11 whose annotated proteome is downloaded from UniProt. An in-house MATLAB proteome analysis software helped extract protein name and amino acid sequence from the FASTA file, which forms the basis for further calculations that produces the number of residues, molecular weight, and nucleotide sequence of each protein in the microorganism’s proteome. The database is available as an Excel file, and should have use in a variety of basic and applied microbiology workflow such as understanding putative functions of specific protein, or identifying biomarker proteins in mass spectrometry-based microbial identification.
