Predictive performance of algorithms used in the prediction of climatic suitability and suitability of land use and human settlement patterns.

The algorithms used were boosted regression trees (BRT), generalized additive models (GAM), generalized linear models (GLM) and random forests (RF). Generalized additive models were not used to assess suitability of land use and human settlement patterns as the number of distribution records was insufficient for model fitting.
