The present study assessed the relationship
between post-deployment stressors and the quality of family relationship among
Ghanaian army soldiers. Method: A total of One hundred and thirty- four army
personnel of the Ghana Armed Forces were purposively sampled to participate in
the study. The quantitative research design was used employed and survey
questionnaires were used to collect data. Analysis of data was done using
Pearson Correlation Coefficient and Independent Sample t-test.
Results: The outcome of the analysis indicated that post-deployment stressors
had a significant negative relationship with the quality of family
relationship. Also, post-deployed military personnel reported experiencing a significantly
lower quality of family relationship when compared to the non-deployed soldiers.
