This dataset includes 3D cranial endocast mesh files for the manuscript "Global elongation and high shape flexibility as an evolutionary hypothesis of accommodating mammalian brains into skulls", which has been accepted at Evolution (a preprint can be found on https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.12.06.410928v2). The files can be extracted into the Data/Raw/plys folder of the github repository https://github.com/VWeisbecker/Brain_shape_study, which will allow the code on automatic surface semilandmark placement to run.

These files are identical to the "endocast" stl files in the folders within the "Endocasts and dissections" dataset also affiliated with this project.
