PhenoCam Bibliography

<p dir="ltr">The PhenoCam Network (http://phenocam.nau.edu/) uses repeat digital photography, from internet-enabled cameras (IOT devices), to track vegetation phenology at high temporal and spatial resolution. This dataset contains a bibliography of published papers that have leveraged PhenoCam resources in one or more of the following ways:</p><ul><li>Use or analysis of PhenoCam imagery or derived data from one or more sites</li><li>Reference to PhenoCam imagery or derived data from a specific site</li><li>Adoption of PhenoCam field deployment protocols, including use of the PhenoCam Installation Tool (PIT), to establish sites that are not affiliated with the PhenoCam Network</li><li>Use of code, applications, packages, or other tools that have been developed in whole or part by the PhenoCam team and made publicly available, including DrawROI/xROI, phenor/phenocamr, PhenoCam GUI, PhenoPix, python-vegindex, etc.</li></ul><p dir="ltr">Candidate papers were identified through searches using Web of Science, Google Scholar, and Scopus. Each candidate paper was then reviewed by the authors of this dataset to determine whether any one of the above criteria were met. Papers were not included if they only:</p><ul><li>Referred to or mentioned the PhenoCam Network in passing</li><li>Cited a paper that used PhenoCam data</li><li>Cited a paper that had PhenoCam in the paper's title</li><li>Briefly described potential applications of PhenoCam data to a specific research question, but conducted no analysis</li><li>Used the term PhenoCam or phenocam in a generic sense, i.e. as a digital camera being used for monitoring vegetation phenology</li><li>Used images or derived data from a camera not affiliated with the PhenoCam Network</li></ul><p dir="ltr">The dataset is included in several different formats to facilitate reuse across different reference management platforms, including Zotero and EndNote:</p><ul><li>Zotero RDF</li><li>BibTex</li><li>RIS</li><li>EndNote XML</li></ul><p dir="ltr">In addition, there is an interactive visualization and exploration tool for this dataset available at: <a href="https://g.co/gemini/share/a78824f197a6" target="_blank">https://g.co/gemini/share/a78824f197a6</a></p><p dir="ltr">This dataset will be periodically updated.
