This case study explores a new model, the Optimal Testing Termination model (OTT), to determine the right time to stop testing activities in the Software development lifecycle. The model uses real-time test data collected to verify a Salesforce Lead Enhancement project and assesses the results of the test execution using the model formula. The OTT model remediates the fallbacks from previous studies by eliminating predictive parameters and only using the real-time data available from test execution results. The model provides a fundamental method to help IT organizations assess and decide on the need for further testing when the time to market is a priority.
The project includes the following files used to evaluate the OTT Model and a flow diagram used to depict the OTT model.

  1. Salesforce Lead Enhancement project requirements - Case Study - Lead Creation User Stories
  2. Test Cases - Case Study - Test Cases
  3. Test Cycle 1 execution results - Case Study - Test Cycle 1
  4. Test Cycle 2 execution results - Case Study - Test Cycle 2
  5. Test Cycle 3 execution results - Case Study - Test Cycle 3
