We performed a cross-sectional study to demonstrate that updated WHO criteria
for stopping mass drug administration (MDA) against onchocerciasis have been
met in Bioko Island (Equatorial Guinea). This study was carried out from
September, 2016 to January, 2017. A total of 7,052 aged 5- to 9-year-old school
children, were included. Onchocerciasis/lymphatic Filariasis rapid diagnostic
tests (RDTs) and ELISA/PCR were performed.
