Collection date: 20-4-2022

Location: Prickwillow site of the East Anglia railway network (East Cambridgeshire, Eastern England X/Y co-ordinates: 559276, 282290)

Soil samples from a railway embankment were obtained by rotary drilling method. Undisturbed soil samples were collected using tube samplers from a 1.2-2.2 m depth. The samples were transported from the site to the soil mechanics Laboratory, Division of Built Environment and Architecture, London South Bank University, UK for processing.

Bacterial strains were purified, sequenced (Illumina) and assembled (IDBA assembler).

U_1 Bacillus licheniformis (SAMN38058026)

U_21 Bacillus pumilus (SAMN38058027)

U_26 Bacillus sp. (SAMN38058028)
