National Survey of First-Grade Science Curriculum Implementation in China
his dataset contains responses from a nationwide survey of 121,757 first-grade students across 23 provinces, five autonomous regions, and four municipalities in China. The survey was conducted to assess the implementation and effectiveness of the 2017 "Compulsory Education Primary School Science Curriculum Standards" issued by the Ministry of Education. The dataset explores key aspects of science education at the primary school level, including the frequency and quality of science classes, students’ attitudes toward science, and their evaluations of first-grade science textbooks. Additionally, the data includes information on the availability of science teaching resources, such as material packs and hands-on learning activities. The findings provide valuable insights for policymakers, educators, and researchers focused on improving science education in China.
