NIT_Student_data
This dataset contains 22-channel resting-state EEG recordings collected from healthy students aged 20–30 years at [Your College Name]. The EEG signals were recorded using the Clarity BrainTech EEG machine from clarity-medical.com, configured for high-quality research-grade acquisition.
EEG Device and Configuration:
Device: Clarity BrainTech EEG System
Montage: Bipolar Longitudinal
Channels: 22
Sampling Rate: 256 Hz
Low-Frequency Filter (LF): 1 Hz
High-Frequency Filter (HF): 70 Hz
Notch Filter: ON (to suppress 50 Hz line noise)
Muscle Filter: ON
Deflection: 100 mm
System Frequency: 50 Hz
Calibration Frequency: 1 Hz at 50 µV (Square Wave)
Recording Protocol:
Participants underwent a structured 13-minute EEG session consisting of:
First 5 Minutes: Eyes Closed (EC) — to capture baseline neural activity associated with relaxation.
Next 4 Minutes: Eyes Open (EO) — to record neural activity during wakeful rest, minimizing eye movement.
Final 4 Minutes: Eyes Closed (EC) — to assess consistency and observe changes in resting-state activity.
During the recordings:
Participants were seated comfortably.
They were instructed to relax, avoid deliberate movements, and minimize cognitive activity.
Notes for Users:
EEG data files are provided in EDF format (.edf).
Preprocessing may be required depending on your analysis pipeline (artifact removal, filtering, epoching, etc.).
No clinical conditions are associated with the recordings; all participants self-reported as healthy.
