Latin American Global Competitiveness - Data
The analysis considered variables such as trade openness, infrastructure investment, educational quality, inflation and institutional stability. The results of the study indicated that both trade openness and investment in education are key factors for strengthening regional competitiveness, while variables such as inflation and foreign direct investment did not show statistically significant impacts. It was also noted that investment in infrastructure and institutional strengthening play a fundamental role in the creation of a competitive environment. On the other hand, marked differences were identified in the levels of competitiveness among the countries analyzed, attributed to variations in their macroeconomic policies and development strategies.
