ABSTRACT This paper's main objective is to cover teaching of Lung'Ie and linguistic identity in schools of Principe, in São Tomé and Príncipe. In order to do so, we have applied questionnaires to teachers and students of Lung'Ie from primary and secondary schools and interviewed them. Thus, we gathered material for discussing topics such as teaching of Lung'Ie in schools, orthography implementation and linguistic identity of both teachers and students.
