Identification of transposon insertion sites in K. pneumoniae AJ218 were derived from homology searches of the K. pneumoniae NTUH-K2044 genome sequence (GenBank Ref: AP006725).

Expressed as a percentage of the biofilm produced by K. pneumoniae AJ218Rif, set to 100%. Determined using the static microtiter plate assay following incubation in M63B1-GCAA (supplemented with 1% glycerol and 0.3% casamino acids) minimal media for 24 h at 37°C. Values represent the mean ± standard deviation, of four replicate sample wells for each strain performed in two independent experiments.
