The Smart Complaint Management System is a web-based application designed to enhance urban service delivery and citizen engagement. This system allows residents to file personal or public complaints directly to the city headquarters. Personal complaints—such as issues related to electricity, water leakage, or drainage—are automatically assigned to specific technicians based on expertise and area. Public complaints—like malfunctioning street lights or road damage—can be upvoted by other users, enabling the authorities to prioritize issues based on public interest.
The platform features two primary modules:
- Public Module: Open to all citizens for submitting and voting on public complaints.
- Personal Module: Requires login and allows users to file private complaints with status tracking.
Technicians can log in using their unique ID to view assigned tasks, update status, and provide resolution remarks. The system supports file uploads, email notifications, and an admin dashboard for monitoring overall complaint trends and technician performance.
Developed using technologies like MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js (MERN stack), this project aims to digitize and streamline civic complaint redressal mechanisms in smart cities.
