This dataset describes the annual variation of low-vegetation aboveground biomass worldwide from 2000 to 2020. We used the Forest Cover and Forest Loss datasets to define vegetation areas with canopy cover of <30% and exclude land surface water disturbances as low vegetation areas. We collected more than 4000 measured sampling points around the world, and used Landsat series satellite datasets to construct the model, with a coefficient of determination of 0.58 and a root mean square error of 163.41 g/m². The annual change in biomass is calculated based on the difference between the estimated aboveground biomass of low vegetation. The Spatial resolution of this dataset is 1km.
