Methanobrevibacter
ruminantium is a ruminant methanogen, and could serve as indicator of
faecal pollution in waters. This work sought to provide foundational
information about the genetic repertoire of Methanobrevibacter ruminantium
M1 through parsing the annotated genome sequence of the archaeon downloaded
from Genbank. Comprising gene name, gene function, and gene sequence, the
resource should be useful for preliminary analysis of the metabolic capability
of the ruminant, as well as informing functional genomics study of the
archaeon.
