Ricke1 Premix provided the following ingredients per kilogram of diet: Copper, 15 mg; iron, 40 mg; zinc, 100 mg; manganese, 100mg; selenium, 0.35 mg; iodine, 1 mg; vitamin A, 10,000 IU; vitamin D3, 5,000 IU; vitamin E, 80 IU; vitamin K, 3 mg; vitamin B1, 3 mg; vitamin B2, 9 mg; vitamin B6, 4 mg; vitamin B12, 0.02 mg; nicotinic acid, 60 mg; pantothenic acid, 15 mg; biotin, 0.15 mg; folic acid, 2 mg. 2 Diets were supplemented with 0.75% sand (Control), 0.20% PB and 0.55% sand, 0.50% PB and 0.20% sand, or 0.75% PB. 3 Nutrient contents were calculated on a dry matter basis.
