This dataset was added as supplementary material to the following paper:

Larrabide I, Geers AJ, Morales HG, Aguilar ML, Rüfenacht DA. Effect of aneurysm and ICA morphology on hemodynamics before and after flow diverter treatment. Journal of Neurointerventional Surgery, 7(4):272–280, 2015. DOI: 10.1136/neurintsurg-2014-011171

The goal of the study was to investigate the relationship between vessel and aneurysm morphology and their influence on the way in which braided flow diverters change the intra-aneurysmal hemodynamics. Twenty-three patient-specific intracranial aneurysm models at the supraclinoid segment of the internal carotid artery were studied.

The dataset contains values for geometric and hemodynamic variables, which are defined as follows (see also Figure 2 and Table 1 of the paper):

* D_a [mm]: Aneurysm depth, measured from the neck centroid to the furthest point on the dome

* A_a [mm^2]: Aneurysm dome area

* V_a [mm^3]: Aneurysm volume

* W_a [mm]: Aneurysm neck maximum width

* A_n [mm^2]: Aneurysm neck area, defined as the surface of the aneurysm ostium

* AR_a [-]: Aspect ratio, defined as D_a / W_a

* d^peak [mm]: Describes the position of the aneurysm in the parent vessel, is the distance from o to the peak curvature C^peak before the aneurysm along the centerline

* alpha^n [degrees]: Describes the orientation of the aneurysm, is the angle between the local osculating plane normal n_OP on the parent vessel at zero abscissa and the bifurcation reference system up normal u_B

* alpha^t [degrees]: Describes the orientation of the aneurysm, is the angle between the tangent t_V at the parent vessel at zero abscissa and the aneurysm direction t_A

* phi_FD [%]: Porosity of the flow diverter (FD) measured on the patch covering the neck as 100 × (area of voids) / (total area)

* WSS_untreated [Pa]: Space- and time-averaged wall shear stress on the wall of the untreated aneurysm

* totime_untreated [s]: Turnover time of blood in the untreated aneurysm. Turnover time was defined as the ratio between aneurysm volume and inflow at the aneurysm neck

* WSS_treated [Pa]: Space- and time-averaged wall shear stress on the wall of the treated aneurysm

* totime_treated [s]: Turnover time of blood in the treated aneurysm. Turnover time was defined as the ratio between aneurysm volume and inflow at the aneurysm neck
