Earth Mover's Distance on World Color Survey language response vectors

Computing the Earth Mover's Distance (EMD) metric on language response vectors of the World Color Survey (WCS) is a significant undertaking even with sophisticated computational tools. Still, the distance measure is more appropriate for research into the WCS than many of the easier accessible choices.

In this dataset, we publish a precomputed version of the EMD distance matrix for use by researchers, as well as a collection of scripts code libraries we have developed for interacting with the WCS.
